About Jenn
My Practice
I maintain a general family practice with a special interest in women's health, pregnancy, maternal-infant postpartum care and pediatrics. My approach to your healthcare will embody all aspects of health -- mind, body and spirit -- and will use gentle yet effective natural therapies for healing. My goal is for you to feel energized, inspired and supported, ready to take on what life is demanding of you.
My fascination with the magnificence of our bodies started as a child and continues to grow daily. I took an unconventional route in my training in becoming a Naturopathic Doctor. I felt called to understand our bodies on a deeper and more personal level, so I dove into the world of acting.
I believe acting is the art of listening and responding with a unguarded body and soul. As a result of my experiences, my practice revolves around deep listening and an acknowledgement of who are you at your core, thereby discovering what message your body is trying to convey. I aim to work with you to develop a unique plan tailored to your story that will ignite a journey of healing, resulting in lasting lifelong vitality and thriving overall health.
My Education
After obtaining my Honours Degree in Theatre from the University of Winnipeg, I completed my 4 year degree in Naturopathic Medicine at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine. I have also completed my DONA Labour Doula certification. I am licensed by the College of Naturopaths of Ontario and am a member in good standing with the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors, the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors, the Association of Perinatal Naturopathic Doctors, and the Pediatric Association of Naturopathic Doctors.
Who Am I
As a doctor, I strive to encompass the original meaning of the term “docre”, which is to teach. As a doula, I am a "women who serves". I value education and service and hope that by holding that space you always leave feeling empowered and supported.
Beyond doctoring, I am a nature lover and crafting junkie. I spend my summers in the garden, talking to the plants and learning as much as I can about sustainable food production. I come from a large family, born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Family is incredibly important to me, and will continue to hold high prioroty in my life. When not frolicking in the garden or with family, you can find me curled up with a good book or whipping up something delicious in the kitchen.
I cannot wait to meet you and join your healing journey!
